De Brazza's monkey

A large-bodied guenon with very distinctive facial markings. Like other guenons, it communicates through complex signals, including vocalizations, facial expressions, and body language. Among guenons, this species exhibits the greatest size difference between males and females. The male is twice as large as the female. In its native habitat, it is hunted for its meat, and because it often causes damage to vegetable gardens, it is also persecuted by humans. The greatest threat to it, however, is deforestation, which affects its habitat. It was named after the French African explorer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza.
